About the PDF Splitter
Upload a PDF and pick pages from a live thumbnail grid — extract them into one new PDF, or split them into several separate files. Rendering and splitting both happen locally in your browser.
Useful for pulling a handful of relevant pages out of a large scanned document, breaking a bulk-scanned batch back into individual documents, or trimming an unnecessary cover/appendix page before sending a PDF on.
How to Use the PDF Splitter
Upload a PDF and let the page thumbnails render.
Select pages by clicking thumbnails, or by typing a range like "1-3, 5, 8-10".
Choose Extract selected (one output file) or Split into files (one file per group), then download.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between "Extract selected" and "Split into files"?
Extract selected pulls your selected pages into a single new PDF, in the order you picked. Split into files breaks the selection into several PDFs, one per comma-separated group in the range field (or one per page, with the "Split every page" shortcut) — each downloads as its own file.
How do I select pages?
Click page thumbnails directly, or type a range like "1-3, 5, 8-10" into the text field — the two stay in sync in both directions.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No — the file is parsed, rendered, and split entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Can I extract pages out of their original order?
In Extract selected mode, pages come out in ascending page-number order regardless of click order — for full control over output order, use the PDF Page Organizer instead, which lets you reorder pages explicitly before exporting.
