What we don't collect

Every tool on LocalBench — JSON formatting, text diffing, SQL beautifying, Base64 encoding/decoding, JWT decoding and verification, and regex testing — runs entirely as JavaScript in your browser. Whatever you paste in, including secrets or private keys used for JWT signature verification, is processed locally and is never sent to, or stored on, any server we operate. There are no accounts, no databases, and no server-side logs of what you paste into a tool.

Cookies and advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings or, for participating providers generally, at aboutads.info.

If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, a consent prompt lets you choose whether to allow personalized advertising before any such ads are served, in line with Google's EU User Consent Policy. You can change that choice at any time — Manage cookie preferences.

Third-party ad vendors

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to see which tools get used — page views, approximate device/browser type, and a general location derived from IP address. It never sees what you paste into a tool, and it doesn't identify you personally. Analytics sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to recognize repeat visits; you can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the same consent prompt described above governs whether analytics cookies are set.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site or its ad/analytics configuration changes. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
